Ingredients

  • 2 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Frosting:
  • 1 square unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1-2 Tbsp. coffee
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Cooking time: 20 minutes Temperature: 325  Serves 8-10 +  In microwave or double boiler, melt together 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate and one stick of butter. Add the sugar, flour, eggs, and vanilla and mix. Pour into a greased 7x11 pan and bake at 325 for 20 minutes.  For frosting, melt 1 square of unsweetened chocolate with 1 T butter. Add 1-2 T of coffee (more if needed). Add one cup of sifted powdered sugar and stir until smooth. Frost cooled brownies.
