Temple Israel Book Club - All Our Wrong Today’s- Elan Mastai

What if we lived in a 2016 that had no pollution, no crime, and no poverty? What if an incredible invention in 1965 made life fifty years later a nearly problem-free utopia? And what if someone, let’s call him Tom, goes back in time to 1965 and makes it so that invention was never invented? This is where the book All Our Wrong Todays takes us: to a 2016 that looks like it does today, asking the question: What if the world we live in today is actually a dystopian society? The book gets really interesting when Tom finds that life in our 2016 is better for him personally than the utopia he left behind. Does he go back? Should he? Wrestle with these questions, and enjoy a lively discussion, at book club.
