As a partner in the Habitat for Humanity Carpenter’s Crew Coalition Temple Israel helped Habitat reach some milestones this past year.

Because of your support in 2013, Habitat Omaha helped empower more families and transform more neighborhoods than ever before. With your help, we literally changed the landscape of neighborhoods in Northeast and Southeast Omaha while helping families realize their dream of homeownership.
With your support, we did BIG things:
  • 40 Homes were built or renovated and then sold to 40 low-income families
  • 119 Repairs and Home Improvement Projects were completed on owner-occupied properties
  • 39 Condemned Houses were Demolished
  • 159 Local Families received direct support through Habitat Omaha’s programs
  • 9,100 Volunteers supported Habitat Omaha’s mission
  • Global Village Volunteers from Omaha helped build homes for families in Romania, Paraguay and Denver
  • Habitat ReStore Celebrated one year at the newly purchased building located at 108th & Maple Streets
  • ‘Build the Future’ Capital Campaign surpassed $6 million goal in just under seven months
  • New Office and Warehouse at 1701 N. 24th Street was purchased and renovated while the old office at 2204 Ames Avenue was sold
