Temple Israel congregants are invited to the Joslyn Art Museum for a presentation by Mel Ziegler, whose work is currently on display at the Bemis Center until March 1 in the exhibition An American Conversation. Ziegler will discuss the trajectory of his work, including his recent commission for Temple Israel’s new synagogue in West Omaha, and a new project that will explore the fate of the Nebraska Sandhills with the participation of local farmers and ranchers. Ziegler is the current chair of the Department of Art at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee.
