SPHRS, Project Interfaith, and UNO Religious Studies present a lecture by Dr. Yakir Englander, Vice President of Kids4peace International, titled “The role of Theology in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Kids4Peace: Interfaith in Jerusalem.”

The lecture will be held Saturday, April 5, from 7-9 p.m. at the UNO Community Engagement Center, in the Community Dialogue Room, CEC.

Dr. Yakir Englander is Vice President of Kids4Peace International and previously was Director of Kids4Peace Israel and Palestine. Dr. Englander is currently a Visiting Professor of Religious Studies at Northwestern University. In 2011, Dr. Englander received the Berlinsky-Sheinfeld Award for Change in Israeli Society from The Israel Council of Higher Education, for his work in Kids4Peace.

Kids4Peace is an organization that teaches youth from Israel and the Palestinian Territories skills in peacebuilding, conflict resolution and tolerance.

The public is welcome at no charge. Visitor parking is available in Lot E (north of the bell tower).
