Experience Shabbat for Grades K-6
Date not yet announced for the 2016-2017 year.
Three times this year, Sunday Religious School will be moved to Saturday. This is an opportunity for our students and their families to celebrate Shabbat together as a community. The program will include music, hands-on activities, study opportunities, and time to connect with God. Please mark your calendars now and bring your entire family (even if they are not in Grades K-6).
Family Education Days are educational opportunities designed to allow parents and students to learn together through hands-on and text based activities. Family Education Days seek to provide an experience where parents can get to know their child’s curriculum. In addition, it provides a role model of lifelong learning for our children. Family Education Days happen by grade level and are interspersed throughout the year. Please check the calendar for your child’s Family Education day.
Building A Community of Learners
Family School is a family-based alternative to Wednesday afternoon Religious School for students in 3rd through 12th grade. Families come together on Wednesdays from 6-8pm. We begin with a Family dinner followed by separate learning opportunities for children and adults. Third through sixth graders meet with their regular teachers and work the same lessons as their Wednesday counterparts. Younger siblings have fun playing together in child care. Adult learning is based on a trimester system. Each trimester will be a class taught by our clergy, educators, or local experts. The Adult Learning program is open to all members of the community – including members without children in our school.
