The Jerusalem Post (the #1 English news source on Israel) did a short write up of the innovative Sukkot project led by our Community Shaliach Eliad Eliyahu.

Children and teens from Beth El, Beth Israel, Temple Israel, Friedel and BBYO decorated banners that were hung in the sukkahs of Lone Soldiers (IDF soldiers who do not have family in Israel) and in the sukkah of Moshe Ya’alon, Israel’s Minister of Defense.  The banners from Omaha were sent to Israel, along with dozens of others from stateside communities in our Partnership2GETHER consortium.

Pictured in the Jerusalem Post are students from Temple Israel who participated in the project.  Also attached here are pictures from Beth El, Beth Israel and BBYO.

Please join me in congratulating Eliad on this international recognition!
