It’s hard to believe that just two months ago, I left Omaha, NE to become the rabbi here at Congregation Children of Israel, located in Athens, GA.
It has been a wonderful experience so far, and I am constantly grateful for my six years experience at my home of Temple Israel. I’ve already had a nice share of fun bima moments, although I’m not sure I can supplant the 8 minute hakafah that I did for six years on Rosh Hashanah; I hope that Rabbi Brown continues that tradition! I miss my Temple community very much (and my Blue Line friends as well), and look forward to visiting in the near future.
I want to wish you a happy, healthy and meaningful New Year, and I am excited to hopefully join you at the grand opening of Temple’s new home. I know that Temple Israel continues to grow in strength and holiness.
