TED Talks are short presentations by individuals from a variety of backgrounds, espousing on a particular thought or idea. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and national conferences are held twice a year, with smaller, regional conferences, called TEDx, gives communities a chance to organize their own talks.
Temple TED Talks are a way for Temple members to come together and share and discuss ideas in an informal way. Organizer Paul Rabinovitz says “it is a comfortable way for all of us to get to know each other better.”
Held once a month, usually on the last Sunday when there’s Religious School, Temple TED Talks are open to anyone who wants to attend and engage in a fun, lively discussion with their fellow congregants.
This past sunday, Lance Kugler showed a talk by a guy named Simon Sinek, who discussed how great leaders inspire people to action. The Talk is posted below if you’re curious, and we hope you join us for the next Temple TED Talk, scheduled for November 17 at 11 a.m.
